Arrived in Tromsø, the third largest city north of the Arctic circle in the world with 65000 residents.
A minibus whisked a few of us off to the Fjellheisen cable car to start the ascent up Fløya, the 671 meter peak adjoining the town. The cable car gets you halfway. The rest is human powered.
Apart from the clearing drizzle, the views down to Tromsø and where our ship was moored, were spectacular and worth working up a sweat for.
Tomorrow the furthest north, on continental Europe anyway.
